Free Comic Books on Finances (in the mail or online)

Think our students need to study finances?  You bet they do!  The Federal Reserve has published quite a few comic books on the topic of money (banking, foreign trade, saving, and more). 

You may view the comic books online or order hard copies of them to arrive in your mailbox.  I went through the ordering process today and found both methods hassle-free and 100% free, no catches, not even a registration requirement.  You may order up to 35 copies of each comic book.

Free DVDs (in your mail!) from John Stossel of ABC News

You recognize this face, right?

He says, "Give me a break!" quite a lot and works with ABC News.

Give up?  His name is John Stossel.  He has created several DVDs on educational topics (voting, Katrina, farm subsidies, and private roads are just a few of the subjects on the 2010 DVD). The DVDs are called Stossel in the Classroom and you can get them for .... FREE! ... by filling out a form at the Stossel in the Classroom site (email, name, address, and school or homeschool information are required in the form).

We all know that Intel creates computer parts, but did you know that they are also committed to educating children?  Intel Education is full of lesson plans and full curriculum on the subject of technology for K-12 students.

Author Teleseminars

Author Teleseminars is a free site for those who want to hear interviews with the best and brightest business authors, including Seth Godin, David Allen, Dan Pink and Keith Ferrazzi.

I've been a member of Author Teleseminars for several months now and I love the free calls and the chance to download recordings with some of the top authors and experts.  Usually, I just go to the archives and download several seminars into my Zune (kind of like an iPod, or mp3 player) to listen while I'm out.
