Free Assessment Tests

The Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) is online for free!  These tests will give you a good idea of how your homeschooled children are doing compared to the national (or, Texas?) average student. 

I'll add a screenshot of the available exams, below.  It's a bit blurry, but gives you an idea of what to look for when you arrive at the TAKS site:

A Favorite Free Quiz Assessment Site

When I want to assess where our kids are at in school, or for the sure cure of Summer boredom, I send them to ThatQuiz.org, where they can take a timed or numbered quiz in just about any math subject as well as in a few vocabulary and geography areas (you can also view tests that other teachers have created). 

That Quiz describes the site:

The most complete math test resource on the web today with over 2 million graded exams to date and over 300,000 participating students.  What we believe in: Clean, quality, easily accessible, educational software for every school and child regardless of geographic location or economic class.  What we don't believe in: Games, advertising, fees, spam or gimmicks. That Quiz is free for educational use.

To Register or Not to Register:

All users have access to all of the tests without registration. There is no reason for students to register, since the additional features are only useful for teachers. Registration is free and teachers who register receive complete record-keeping of student grades. They have access to more precise test-generation tools, can create single tests with questions from different categories, can create matching and multiple choice questions, and can access a public test library.

EraserDog.com is math worksheet generator site, where you can create your own math worksheets, based on many variables.
