Have you ever wanted your own planetarium? Well, since you obviously have a computer (you're looking at it, right?), you can also have a planetarium! I found a free planetarium program called Stellarium that allows you to view your sky in real-time. The programmers describe it like this:
"Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. It is being used in planetarium projectors. Just set your coordinates and go."
In the FAQ, Stellarium also mentions that the program is easy to use, even for beginners, and that you will have a real-time view of the sky, meaning, you'll see the same sky you'd see if you actually went outside and looked at it.
