Drop the flash cards. Lose the frustration. Timez Attack (free!) will have your students learning their multiplication tables in record time, and they will not once whine about it! Impossible, right? I thought so, until I witnessed how quickly our 9yo learned his tables while playing the game even outside of "math time."
The creators of Timez Attack have a background in PlayStation (your kids will know what that is!). You can view a video of the game at the Timez Attack site.
NOTE: There is a free version, which is what I'm highlighting here on FreelyEducate.com. It teaches the 2-12s. There is also a paid version, which teaches the same concepts but is somehow more fun. (I haven't previewed that version yet.) Here is what Timez Attack says about its free version:
Yes--it's research-based
Yes--base version is TOTALLY FREE
Yes--even the base version teaches all the facts, 2 - 12
Proven to teach TOTAL mastery to average pre-3rd graders in just 10 hours
